Ready to delete your data?
GiftBeacon is a product of iPal Media LLC. There are two ways to request complete deletion of all personal data associated with your phone number. We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation.
Text the keyword below to GiftBeacon from the phone number you wish to delete:

What Gets Deleted
When you submit a deletion request, we permanently remove all personal data associated with your phone number from our systems. This includes:
- Your phone number — your primary identifier is removed from all records.
- People records — all names, relationships, interests, and preferences of people you have shared with us (e.g., “Sarah, loves pottery, birthday March 15”).
- Birthdays and important dates — all calendar reminders and scheduled dates stored for your contacts.
- Gift history — all records of gifts you have selected or purchased through GiftBeacon.
- Conversation summaries — any structured summaries or notes extracted from your past conversations.
- Preferences and settings — any account-level preferences or configuration associated with your number.
What Is Retained
After a deletion request is fulfilled, we may retain the following:
- Anonymized aggregate statistics — for example, the total count of users in a geographic region or the average number of gift recommendations made per session. This data cannot be linked back to you in any way.
- Records required by law — in limited cases, applicable law may require us to retain certain records (e.g., tax records for affiliate transactions). If this applies, we will notify you.
We do not retain raw SMS message content, so there is no message archive to delete.
Timeline
Once your deletion request is processed, your data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. If you wish to use GiftBeacon again in the future, you can start fresh by texting START — the service will treat you as a new user.
Confirmation Process
After you submit a deletion request:
- Immediate acknowledgment — if you texted DELETE, you will receive an SMS confirmation that your request has been received. If you emailed, you will receive a reply within 3 business days.
- Identity verification — for email requests, we may ask you to verify ownership of your phone number by responding to a verification text, to protect against unauthorized deletion requests.
- Processing — deletion is completed within 30 days of the verified request.
- Final confirmation — you will receive a final confirmation (via SMS or email) once all personal data has been removed.
Difference Between Opting Out and Deleting

Your Rights Under CCPA and GDPR
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request deletion of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to erasure under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The process described on this page fulfills both obligations. To exercise these rights, use either method above (text DELETE or email privacy@ipalmedia.com).
